We slept in a Picnic Area transformed in "Truck stop", lot of trucks were sleeping there. Heading up to the Louisiana!

Beaumont is situated before the Louisiana. We've pass the night near that place last year, in January, we see the difference of the landscapes, now in the month of April with leaves in the trees, a fully green landscape!

The spring here is arrived. The road is special before Baton Rouge, miles and miles of road is built directly over the water, on cement pillars of about 20 feets of high. On each side, the forest, the trees living in the water and the lakes. Exceptionally straight we must say!

When we were doing the update of the website, a guy came to the van and talk with us, also giving us his website. He told us that he also get an old volkswagen Bus of the 60's and an old Beetle. So a little subway to replace the stomach at the good place, parked there!

Back on the US10 heading to Baton Rouge (Red Stick for those of you who don't know the english meaning of this french name). Really, more and more funny when we're back in the United States. The majority of the cars (Lincoln, Chevrolet, Ford, Chrystler...) are pickups or jeeps, or smaller cars with big engines (Mustang, Monte Carlo and Chrysler 300). Bigger the tires and the wheels are, better the owner of the vehicule is feeling valorised and important in the society.

As canadians, it's always funny to see that for us, which utility is to have a car like that? Excepted that the vehicule is drinking the triple quantity of gas and the fact of driving 6 feets over the road, it's a reality we still don't understand.

The beautiful bridge at the entry of Baton Rouge is like the Trois-Rivière bridge in Québec, but more beautiful! We're going to sleep in a MacDonald parking south of Baton Rouge, about 20 miles.

Tomorrow, we'll head up to New Orleans, where we'll see how is the city now, more than one year after our last trip in January, we're can't wait more to see it.
